I AM SUCH AN IDIOT!!

So i won this laptop last week, and put it on ebay to sell for £800. The auction was ending on Friday and a guy emailed me asking if he could pick it up asap, so i rang paypal to see if it was safe doing pick up only and was advised so long as he signs something its all good. So saturday he paid me and i met him and he took the laptop.
Then saturday evening when i got home i had an email from paypal, saying that it was an unauthorised tranasaction and they have reversed the payment
then when i called paypal today they said he had paid me as a gift payment, instead of buying goods so no postage address was provided making it invaild, and cos i had never requested one i am not covered - but as i told the lady today, i was advised i didnt need one cos he was picking it up!!
So basically ive been scammed - he obviosly hacked someone elses account to pay me and did it very cleverly - got my laptop and buggered off!!

so now im out of pocket £800
but paypal are doing an investigation as to why the guy on friday that i spoke to told me it would be safe to do trading that way. i was going on his personal advice and now i have lost out!!!


I feel totaly humiliated by it! i feel like he is having a big laugh at my stupidity!

It doesnt help that when my sister found out, all she could say was - why havent you called the police yet?!
She didnt ask if i was ok it just felt like she was telling me off!

I CANT DO ANYTHING RIGHT!!!!
